Software requirements

Supported OS Versions:

RedHat 8.X

Ubuntu 20.0.4 LTS

Required Packages:

Pliant runs as a container-based system on top of Kubernetes. For installation and management of the Pliant cluster, a Linux-based management host is required and should have the following software resources:

  • Linux packages/commands available:

    • curl

    • wget

    • jq

    • kubectl

  • Access to the Kubernetes cluster management API

  • A Kubernetes context file providing access to the cluster

Network Connectivity Requirements

An outbound Internet connection is strongly recommended for the management host and the Kubernetes nodes. This will allow for faster and more frequent updates of Pliant software and integration packages.
