Creating Gitlab Access Tokens and Authkeys

Creating a Gitlab Access Token

Log on to Gitlab and open the Preferences page

Choose the Access Tokens option on the left of the page:

The Access Tokens page will open with a form to fill. There are two required fields and several optional scopes:

Required

  • Token name

  • Expiration date

Note: Gitlab Personal Access Tokens are required to have an expiration date. Care must be taken to ensure that the Pliant authentication and Access Tokens are updated before the expiration date.

Optional

All scopes are optional. However, enough scopes must be granted to allow the Pliant authentication to perform it’s functions.

The access token is then created. Be sure to copy the token to a safe location. It will not be visible in this interface again.
