Workflows are graphical scripts that allow users to automate complex tasks with ease.

The Workflows tab houses all of the workflows which a user has permission to see. This is also where a user can interact with and administer workflows on the platform.

The Workflows tab

Workflows are built by dragging and dropping "blocks" found on the right-hand side of the Workflow Editor page. They are executed from top ("Start") to bottom ("End").

Execution of workflows can be scheduled or can be done manually by clicking either "Run" under the Workflow actions menu or the "Run" button in the Editor view.

The Workflow Editor is invoked by clicking on or creating a workflow from the Workflows tab

  1. From your Pliant instance, click on "Workflows" on the top of the page.

  2. Use the field titled "Filter" to search for a particular workflow (or a folder).

  3. Alternatively, you can create a workflow.

  4. Clicking on or creating a workflow will open the Workflow Editor screen. From here, you can add to and configure your workflow as desired and execute it.

On the Workflows page, a user can:

  1. Sort the workflows by name.

  2. Import, export, and delete workflows.

  3. Pull and push workflows from and into a git repository (see Git Configuration)

  4. Perform workflow actions (clicking the 3 vertical dots under "Actions" opens this menu for its corresponding workflow).
